Natural farming is a way to partner with nature to grow abundant food. It has been practiced for thousands of years. We see natural farming all around the world. In the past few generations, Japan has been the hub of natural farming. Master Cho (Cho Hankyu) studied enzymatic theory and natural farming in Japan and brought that information back to Korea.
The philosophy of Natural Farming Technology (NFT) includes:
1. Taking advantage of indigenous microorganisms and their role in the nutritive cycle to cultivate growth;
2. Not using insecticides, herbicides, or any chemicals that can deplete the land of its natural resources, but using natural sources for insecticides and integrating all plants, including “weeds”, into the farming strategies;
3. By using a natural ecological process, no tilling of the land is needed, which decreases cost of labor;
4. By using natural home-grown sources of fodder, there will be zero emission of harmful livestock waste, usually caused by artificial hormones and enzymes found in commercial feeds.
